From your first conversation to your written plan
Meet Kevin before deciding. Your planning engagement begins only when you sign.
The Step By Step Planning Process
Step 1. Initial Call
30 minutes, by phone or video.
Share your financial question and any deadline. Kevin explains the service so you can decide whether to meet again.
No documents needed.
Step 2. Discovery meeting
A separate meeting of about 60 minutes, with Kevin, in person in Tulsa or by video
Kevin asks about your household, goals, and decisions. Bring nothing.
Sign the planning agreement only when you're ready. Both introductory meetings carry no fee; payment begins when you sign.
Step 3. Gathering your information
In the first few days after you sign.
Kelly requests only the documents that apply:
- Investment and retirement account statements
- Your last two tax returns
- Employer retirement and pension details
- Insurance policies
- Wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Compensation and benefits details
After you sign, Kelly sends you a link to upload documents through our secure portal. Kelly helps with missing information and sets up your plan access.
Step 4. Your plan presentation
About 60 minutes with Kevin, roughly two weeks after signing if documents arrive on time.
Kevin reviews the analysis and recommendations, then helps you prioritize your decisions.
Documents are due within seven days of signing. The 90 days don't extend if documents arrive late.
Step 5. Three working meetings
About 60 minutes each, over the following weeks.
One area of your plan at a time, with clear instructions for each recommendation:
- Working meeting 1: Retirement timing, spending, benefits, and investment income.
- Working meeting 2: Taxes, giving, stock and deferred compensation, and business decisions where applicable.
- Working meeting 3: Insurance, estate documents, beneficiaries, and remaining action items.
Between meetings, take action and bring back questions.
Step 6. Where Things Stand
At your third working meeting
Keep a one-page summary of completed actions, open items, and next steps, along with your plan.
